New International Musicals Incorporated
(IMI) was established in November of
2001 in order to continue the services formerly
provided by International Musicals
Incorporated, a company founded in 1991, as a result
of an agreement between
TV Asahi in Japan and Music Theatre International
(MTI) in the United States,
for the purpose of licensing Asian performance rights
to the musical theatre
pieces contained in the MTI library. Empowered by
MTI to sub-license the
performance rights, in Asia, to the copyrighted
musicals in their catalog, New
International Musicals Incorporated provides clients
with a wide variety of services
designed to simplify and expedite the sometimes
difficult, confusing and daunting
task of obtaining a performance license, in English,
for a Broadway, off-Broadway or
West End musical. We not only assist the client
with obtaining the actual
performance rights licensing agreement, we also
provide assistance with making
royalty payments in a foreign currency, dealing
with the pertinent provisions of the
U.S.-Japan Tax Treaty as it relates to licensing
fees owed and paid, renting the
scripts and scores for the licensed musical, obtaining
the permission necessary to
make minor modifications and alterations to said
script and/or score, and assistance
with any and all other arrangements relative to
the performance license that the
client may require. |
