Copyrights are designed to protect
the ownership of a musical. When composers,
lyricists and bookwriters create a musical, they
usually obtain copyrights through the
government to make sure their ideas remain their
property. Therefore, when a group
would like to mount a production of a musical, that
group needs to get permission
from the authors who own it. This is called obtaining
a license.
Until now, anyone in Asia who wanted to produce
a musical had to find the
copyright owners in America and Europe, or apply
through those owners' agents.
Often, such correspondence was difficult, time-consuming
and expensive work. But
not anymore. IMI helps you get a license easily
and quickly - so you can concentrate
on creating a successful production. |
